The Liberty Nickel is in above average circulated condition, and has been made into a locket, with a very nice ornamental loop at the top, The coin shows both sides of the nickel, and when you open it up is reveals the Initials "LJD" and room to put a locket of hair, which was the custom at the time (so you can carry your loved one with you.) The initials have been scrolled with a inter locking letters in the center on a plain field. Very nicely completed. A lot of work went into this Love Token. It is made of Nickel, and gold plated inside.
